Heritage Open Days Weekend

The Centre is open for the annual Heritage Open Days Weekend.

Thursday 6th September and Friday 7th September will see us open from 11 – 3 at the Centre. Some of our Archive collection will be available to see first hand.

Saturday 8th September will see the Centre open again from 11 – 3. Barry Wrangles will be bringing down two classic cars for the day and the Archives will again be available. Additionally we will have the Council House next door open for you. Come and see the Council Chamber and Freeman’s Room. There will also be a chance see and hear about the war memorial and the famous “landmine outside the council house” incident!

Sunday 9th September will see the Centre open again from 11 – 3. All of Saturday’s attractions will be available again, but we also have a talk by Mary Bodfish from 2 – 3 in the Council Chamber.
